Who We Are

Sweet Synchronicity Dream Journal is operated by Sweet Synchronicity, a DBA of Beverly J. Otis, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We are the data controller responsible for your information. You can contact us at support@beverlyotisdesign.app with any questions about your data or this Privacy Policy.

Data We Collect

We collect the following when you use the app:

• Dream entries including text, audio recordings, and metadata such as date, emotion, and dream type.
• Your account email, display name, and username.
• Subscription and payment status, processed through RevenueCat.
• Trial usage data and age verification confirmation.

How We Use Your Data

Your dream data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore associated with your user account. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. We retain your dream data for as long as your account remains active. You can delete individual dreams or your entire account at any time.

How AI Services Handle Your Data

Sweet Synchronicity Dream Journal uses two third-party AI services for Premium features. Both share the same core commitments: neither service uses your data to train their models, and both automatically delete inputs and outputs within 30 days of processing unless legally required to retain them longer.

Voice transcription is a Premium feature powered by OpenAI's Whisper API. When you record a voice note, the audio is sent securely to OpenAI for transcription, and the resulting text is saved as your dream entry. A copy of your audio is also backed up to your account's Firebase Storage so it remains accessible across your devices. Dream analysis is a Premium feature powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you request a dream analysis, the text of your dream is sent securely to Anthropic for processing. For more information, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

When you delete a dream from Sweet Synchronicity Dream Journal, it is immediately removed from our database. Copies of the text or audio previously sent to OpenAI or Anthropic may remain on those platforms for up to 30 days — or longer if legally required — before being purged in accordance with their respective policies.

Push Notifications

The app may send local push notifications to remind you about trial expiration and other account activity. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.

The following third-party services are used to provide the app's functionality:

Age Requirement

Sweet Synchronicity Dream Journal is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal information, we will delete the account and associated data promptly.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including:

• The right to know what personal information is collected.
• The right to delete personal information.
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information.

Sweet Synchronicity Dream Journal does not sell personal information.

Your Rights

You can delete individual dreams at any time from within the app.

You can delete your entire account and all associated data at any time through the app by going to Settings and tapping Delete Account — for step-by-step instructions, see our Account Deletion page.

You can disable push notifications through your device settings.

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing support@beverlyotisdesign.app.
